The Certified Health Care Leader is a specialized certification designed to provide educational and development opportunities for professionals at all management levels in the field of health care administration. The increasing need of health care related services raises a need for competent and innovative leaders and managers in today’s rapidly changing health care market. The objective of the certification is to expose managers to new skills and trainings in management, leadership, communication, group dynamic, and conflict management. Participants who successfully complete the NSU Advanced Leadership Program and the CHCL™ certification exam are conferred the CHCL™ designation. Components of Certification: v Advanced Leadership Program v Action Learning Paper v Continuing Education (Renewal) Certification Exam: Action Learning Paper Participants must pick a topic of interest based on one of the sessions from the NSU Advanced Leadership Program. They may select their topic anytime throughout the program, and present it to the lead instructor for approval. Upon approval, participants may begin to work on their paper. The final paper must be submitted within 120 days after conclusion of the program. Grading will be based on a “pass” or “fail” scale. A Certified Health Care Leader credential is granted upon satisfactory completion of the program and Action Learning Paper. Continuing Education/ Renewal: Participants who are granted the CHCL™ designation must fulfill 6 hours of continuing education per year to sustain and renew their skills in the field of Leadership. Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to register for the CHCL™ certification program, you must fulfill the following criteria: Professional Experience More than five years of full-time managerial experience in a health care setting or within the health care industry. |

SUBSTITUTION, CANCELLATION, AND TRANSFER POLICIES
Program fees are due in full upon application to the program. If you are unable to attend this program, we will accept an appropriate substitute participant to take your place up to the day of the program. There is a $75 administration fee for substitutions made less than two weeks prior to the start of the program. NSU will grant an 80 percent refund for cancellations made two or more weeks prior to the start of the program. For cancellations made within two weeks prior to the start of the program, a 50 percent refund will be granted. There is no refund if you withdraw after the start of the program. We will allow one transfer of this registration to a future offering of the same program. We will charge an administration fee for any future postponements. Fees and dates are subject to change without notice. |
